Recreation Attendant (Desk Attendant)The Recreation Attendant monitors resident and guest use of club facilities to ensure adherence to the Rules & Regulations regarding facility use. The attendant also assists with functions and duties related to the operation and maintenance of facilities.
Location: Condos in downtown Minneapolis, MN
Employment Type: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $20–22 per hour
Shift: Evening
- Responsible for regular contact with residents (in-person, phone, and email).
- Inform residents and guests of Rules & Regulations as needed.
- Assist with amenity reservation requests.
- Record calls and in‑person visitors with unit and purpose in the notebook provided.
- Check voicemail upon arrival for shift and following rounds.
- Sweep lobby area as needed (especially in the winter) and check for trash (including outside entryway).
- Complete shift report each shift, reporting any damage, violations, loud noise, or needed repairs.
- Check lobby and other common areas for trash or misplaced packages. Confirm packages have unit numbers.
- Check trash area (outdoor and trash room), elevators, stair entryways, event lounge, bathroom, gym, spa, and pool/pool deck.
- During pool season, lock up at closing time. After close, check the lock.
- Walk each floor. Report/take photos of any damage, trash, mechanical malfunctions, burned‑out light bulbs, or water in halls, ceilings, carpet, or storage rooms.
- On first and third shifts of the day, change elevators and skyway doors per building schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Professional customer service skills.
- Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
- Time management and critical prioritization skills.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish fluent).
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to reach above shoulders with hands and arms to file a variety of documents; use hands and fingers to input data into the information system; and talk or hear in order to gather and provide information on departmental processes. The employee is often required to sit to process information and conduct data entry activities.
