Part‑Time Seasonal Contractor (estimated 16‑20 hour per week during peak season)
Theater Latté Da, the Twin Cities’ foremost producer of bold new and re‑imagined musical theater, seeks a contract Casting Coordinator to support our staff team in casting mainstage productions and developmental workshops for our 2026/27 season.
As a part of our nimble, dynamic organization, the Casting Coordinator is responsible for providing all casting support for TLD’s artistic teams. The role also involves coordinating actor offers, updating and maintaining Airtable for season casting, and scheduling season auditions and callbacks.
The large share of work is anticipated to take place from March to September 2026 to cast the mainstage production season (approximately 16‑20 hours per week), with additional work to secure understudies and cast smaller projects continuing through December 2026 (approximately 0‑16 hours per week).
A successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to work well with artistic teams and actors, strong organizational and relationship‑building skills, and the ability to positively contribute to our commitment to an inclusive, anti‑racist theater industry. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and efficient project‑management skills are essential.

Areas of Responsibility and Key Duties Auditions – 40%- Plan and organize auditions for all productions and workshops.
- Organize the logistics for all auditions, including scheduling actors, creative teams, space, and personnel.
- Facilitate casting of actors for all shows, workshops, and special events in collaboration with creative teams.
- Communicate contract details to actors and record conflicts, travel needs, and other necessities.
- Generate Letters of Acknowledgement based on offers to actors.
- Work with Associate Artistic Director to create season show breakdowns with character descriptions for Actor’s Equity Association approval prior to general auditions.
- Create and maintain the season Airtable database for general submissions.
- Identify and eliminate barriers to participation for all actors during the audition process.
- Prepare audition sides for all roles and distribute them to all callback attendees.

All employees and contractors who conduct work in person are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 and to have received any eligible booster. If not presently fully vaccinated and boosted, the successful candidate must be willing to receive a full course of vaccination before beginning work. Adherence to TLD Covid safety protocols, including mask wearing or testing, is expected.
SCHEDULE FLEXIBILITYThe role requires flexible work hours, including weekends and evenings, to attend auditions and outside performances, thereby expanding our talent database.
COMPENSATION$10,000 contract per season; schedule subject to mutual agreement.
