Project Engineer Intern

Position Summary

Lay the foundation for your career with our immersive summer internship program designed for sophomores and juniors. As a Project Engineer Intern at Weis Builders, you will dive into real‑world projects that take you to the core of the construction industry. With direct contact with subcontractors, architects, and potentially owners, your involvement will grow as the internship progresses. Many of our interns return for multiple summers, gaining a broad range of experience across estimating, project management, and field operations.

• Actively participate in exciting projects, helping ensure they are completed on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget
• Assist in writing and negotiating contracts and change orders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project partners
• Contribute to the development and management of production schedules
• Support the project team in delivering a final product that delights clients and exceeds expectations
• Learn and implement best practices in the construction industry through real‑world challenges

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a similar construction program
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Eagerness to learn and gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• A desire to take initiative, problem‑solve, and contribute to successful project outcomes
• Previous industry experience is a plus, but not required

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience level
