An established and growing general contractor in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for overall project execution, including schedule, budget, quality, and team coordination, while maintaining strong relationships with owners, design partners, and subcontractors.
This opportunity is well suited for a seasoned construction professional who brings leadership, accountability, and a strong background in delivering complex commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving issues proactively
- Mentor and support project managers, engineers, and field staff
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and forecasting
- 8+ years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor
- Experience delivering projects such as office, healthcare, higher education, retail, industrial, or mixed-use facilities
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects and multiple stakeholders
- Strong background in cost management, budgeting, and schedule control
- Familiarity with the Minneapolis-St. Paul construction market preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contracts, and delivery systems
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
