Teacher’s Aide
The purpose of the Teacher’s Aide is to support the other teachers in providing a nurturing, positive, and engaging learning environment where young children can thrive and develop foundational skills for lifelong success. Working collaboratively and flexibly, Teacher’s Aides play a vital role in fostering social‑emotional growth, encouraging curiosity, and supporting consistent daily routines. Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing play‑based, age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, aligned with Minnesota’s Early Learning Standards.
- Help maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters a sense of belonging, safety, and curiosity.
- Provide active supervision to ensure children’s safety and engagement in all classroom and outdoor activities.
- Assist in observing and recording developmental milestones under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment.
- Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
- Greet families and support positive daily interactions during drop‑off and pick‑up times, under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Director.
- Help provide updates using the center’s communication platform regarding children’s daily activities, meals, rest, and learning experiences.
- Must meet the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Teacher’s Aide qualification requirements.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, which may include standing or sitting for extended periods; lifting and carrying young children and classroom materials up to 65 lbs; bending, stooping, and kneeling; and responding quickly to emergencies.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements for working in a childcare setting.
- Must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of employment.

Pay range: $13 – $15 per hour (location: Minnesota). Salary is subject to adjustment for other geographic work locations and is determined by education, experience, internal equity, market demands, and other qualifying criteria.
