To build, forecast, sell, and ensure execution of business plans crafted for Target to deliver against MGA key brands' sales and profit goals.

- Four-year college degree required.
- MBA or other business certification is a preferred asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing a business at US-based major merchants, with specific experience at Target.
- Retail experience within the general merchandise category is preferred.
- Proven experience supervising and mentoring team members and peers to work toward corporate goals.
- Excellent proactive planning, forecasting, and sales analytics skills.
- Well-developed sales, leadership, and "no-nonsense" management skills.
- Formal knowledge of Target’s product categories and industry standards.
- Experience with both FOB and Domestic shipping procedures.
- Strong work ethic and a reputation for integrity.
- Ability to travel as required for the role.
- Build relationships with the Target buying team, including buyers, planners, replenishment, and inventory management teams.
- Work with the buying team to understand needs, performance metrics, and timetables to build seasonal business plans.
- Act as the expert on products, categories, and competition within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Manage day-to-day service issues between MGA internal teams and Target buying teams.
- Create and present profitable sales plans for both the retailer and MGA.
- Develop and implement contingency plans in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development (PD) to address account objectives and sell the business plan.
- Manage account opportunities with a check and balance for return on investment.
- Oversee all account promotional spending within pre-approved budgets.
- Review weekly POS to identify items selling at, above, or below plans and action opportunities.
- Build forecasts based on facts, actual sales, and historical data by working closely with MGA demand planning teams.
- Manage both import and domestic inventory flow programs while remaining conscious of lead times.
- Act as the retailer's advocate on business decisions while holding MGA interests at the highest level.
- Relay customer feedback, sales opportunities, and competitive market information to Management, Marketing, and PD teams.
- Attend all required meetings and ensure follow-up action is completed using professional templates.
