CLA's trucking and logistics client is seeking a data-driven and strategic thinker to join their team as a Strategic Pricing Manager
. This role plays a critical part in shaping and executing pricing strategies that support profitable growth, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness across our freight network. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement dynamic pricing models that reflect market conditions and customer demand.
  • Design pricing strategies to build and fill capacity in new and existing markets.
  • Support pricing decisions that prioritize long-term profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Apply data and analytics to evaluate pricing effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and encourage creative problem-solving.
  • Support change management initiatives across pricing and commercial functions.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential with the ability to scale and mentor a pricing team.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Leverage technology and automation tools to enhance pricing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Utilize workflow automation to streamline pricing operations.
  • Apply AI and pricing algorithms to determine optimal pricing by account, freight type, region, and lane.
  • Understand and apply dynamic pricing and costing models in decision-making.
Cross-Functional Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align pricing strategies with company goals.
  • Partner with Finance to support profitability targets and margin improvement.
  • Work closely with Sales to drive revenue growth through strategic pricing.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure pricing supports capacity planning and service delivery.
  • Engage with IT to advance automation and analytics capabilities in pricing systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, financial analysis, or logistics.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with pricing software, AI tools, and workflow automation platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
