Position SummaryWork directly with senior management to develop regulatory case filings and strategies that support the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Communicate and collaborate with regulatory case teams to guarantee filings meet the intended strategy and support the company in regulatory proceedings, rule‑making, and legislative hearings. Coordinate regulatory compliance activities across assigned jurisdictions.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Develop, compile, and edit regulatory case filings, ensuring they are concise, well‑organized, and aligned with Xcel Energy’s style, tone, and formatting conventions. Make sure documents are legally sound and communicate complex issues clearly.
- Advocate the company’s positions with regulators and stakeholders in a variety of forums, including regulatory proceedings, administrative rule makings, and legislative hearings.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while producing high‑quality work and maintaining appropriate document controls. Solicit and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare key messages for presentations to external regulatory agencies and legislative committees, and develop presentations for internal audiences.
- Assist witnesses in developing pre‑filed testimony and help draft discovery responses, ensuring responses are effective and consistent with company strategy.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross‑functional teams to promote regulatory and legislative policy positions.
- Work efficiently in a time‑constrained environment and communicate progress regularly with senior management and internal customers.
- BA/BS degree; five to seven years of experience in a regulatory field (or equivalent).
- Experience with regulatory filings is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
