Join Magellan Federal as a Personal Financial Counselor (PFC) in Minneapolis, MN. This role provides comprehensive financial counseling services to military service members and their families at assigned installations.
Responsibilities- Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
- Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
- Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.
- Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering the entire military lifecycle.
- Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes as authorized.
- Manage duty‑to‑warn situations in accordance with DoD protocol.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
- Participate in in‑services, training, quality improvement committees, or contract activities as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required (or associate degree plus 4 years of experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required.
- Adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
- Successful completion of the Congressional Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
- Certification:
Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Salary Range: $53,125 – $84,995
