Job DescriptionThe Network Planning team drives the development, activation, and delivery of market‑based strategies across the bank’s distribution network. The Market Development Manager serves as a strategic connector—linking strategy with execution across multiple business lines. This role ensures market strategies are translated into actionable plans, implemented effectively, and communicated clearly to senior leadership. The position is responsible for overall management and oversight of new or existing assets across retail banking markets and functions as the central communication and project management liaison for all network planning projects.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Market Planners and Regional Leadership to ensure alignment of strategy across assigned geographies.
- Lead synthesized communication across business lines, ensuring unified updates, escalations, risk/mitigation discussions, and alignment from strategy through execution and ongoing operations.
- Act as the single point of contact for Branch Regional Executives and Market Leaders, connecting strategy to execution across their portfolios.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners in the identification, design, development, and implementation of network‑related initiatives within assigned markets.
- Maintain high‑level understanding of end‑to‑end project activities to ensure seamless handoffs and coordinated execution.
- Interface with internal and external partners to ensure timely and successful completion of projects in alignment with organizational commitments.
- Anticipate, manage, and diffuse potential issues or risk points across stakeholders by proactively identifying challenges, facilitating alignment, and collaborating across teams to develop, advance, and implement effective solutions.
- Build trusted internal partnerships through clarity, consistency, and dependable execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and key leaders across the organization.
- Support enterprise‑wide strategy execution by ensuring initiatives are fully integrated across lines of business.
- Facilitate frequent recurring meetings and portfolio reviews with business line leadership.
- Effectively communicate with senior‑level audiences, synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable updates.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10 or more years of experience in project and relationship management activities.
- Financial services industry experience; retail branch banking experience highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with market planning or retail distribution strategies.
- Ability to identify, navigate, and resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and cross‑functional influence.
