- $60,000 - $120,000 per year based on previous experience and qualifications
Freeway Ford is hiring an experienced Ford Automotive Service Technician to expand our service department. This is a union position offering excellent benefits, job security, and a professional shop environment. In this role, you will handle diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance with precision while staying current on Ford's latest technologies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance with accuracy and efficiency following Ford and dealership guidelines
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
- Test-drive vehicles to confirm concerns and verify repairs
- Document repair findings and recommendations thoroughly on repair orders
- Complete warranty work to manufacturer specifications
- Stay up to date with Ford training, including STARS requirements
- Maintain compliance with dealership safety and operating procedures
- Represent Freeway Ford professionally with a strong customer-first attitude
- Minimum 1 year of professional automotive repair experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ASE certifications or Ford STARS training preferred
- Must own a complete set of tools and a toolbox
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a professional demeanor
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow in a fast-paced environment
