SENIOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT What you'll do.

The Senior Workforce Development Assistant plays an integral role in supporting a wide range of programs, events, and resources-both online and in person-for learners and professional stakeholders. This position is responsible for the organization, planning, and implementation of these initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and a high-quality participant experience. The position maintains and updates key databases, communicates regularly with members, prepares and distributes materials, and documents meetings by taking and sharing minutes.

Through strong organization, attention to detail, and proactive coordination, this role helps ensure programs and events operate efficiently and effectively.

What we look for.

Education:
  • Associate's degree in Business, Communications, Administrative, Technology, or related fields is required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an administrative, customer service, or clerical position in an office environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold the AAN's values is required.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively is required.
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication is required.
  • Anticipates needed action is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to work on projects under only general supervision is required.
  • Desire to work in a team setting is required.
  • Familiarity with higher education or medically-related working environments is preferred.

Relevant education and/or experience exceeding the required qualifications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required - up to 5%

Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)

Schedule: Occasional evening and weekends required
