Hours:

Monday through Friday, up to 10 hours per week, flexible scheduling

Office hours are 8AM-4:30PM with some evenings

Duties:

* Greet and assist students/visitors at the front desk, answer general questions and answer department phone at front student staff's desk

* Support with Academic Testing Center for proctoring of student testers that includes the following: sign/date student worker confidentiality agreement, training of procedures, utilization of the camera monitoring software, overview, test security, reporting any concerns and processes

* Send a Chat/Instant message to staff when their appointments arrive

* Assist and guide students with I-pad provided at front desk for resources and services

* Sort and distribute mail for Student Affairs, Student Senate, and Student Organizations

* Update documents per trimester in excel and word;
Creates miscellaneous documents/letters, as needed

* Prepare and send emails for office, as needed

* Maintain the general information bulletin boards, club & organization boards, and student organization tack strips in the stairwells, ensuring policy compliance;
Approves and date stamp flyers

* Other support as needed (copies, student leadership dinner tasks, mailing projects, etc.)

* Assemble information for new student orientation during trimester breaks, if available

* Assist with locker assignments, locker list clean up, and other duties as needed for new student orientation each term

* Assist with University commencement rehearsal, commencement, and various duties and projects, as needed

Qualifications:

* Current NWHSU student in good academic standing, required

* Effective communication and organizational skills, required

* Customer service skills, with a warm and approachable style, required

* Ability to work independently, collaborative, and dependable

* Experience working within a front desk office setting

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

* Maintains confidentiality at all times
