Job Description & How to Apply Below

Chandler Industries is growing — and we’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team and help support the financial operations of a fast-growing advanced manufacturing organization.

This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional or recent college graduate who enjoys working with data, strengthening financial processes, and supporting operational teams across the business. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, maintaining financial accuracy, assisting with audits and reporting requirements, and contributing to process improvement initiatives across our accounting functions.

If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and working in a collaborative environment where finance supports operational success, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do Support Financial Reporting & Close Processes
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Support preparation of internal financial reports and variance analysis
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system
Support Audit & Compliance Requirements
  • Assist with annual financial audits and provide documentation requested by external auditors
  • Help prepare data for tax filings and CPA reporting requirements
  • Support government reporting requirements, including census and statistical reporting
  • Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls
Contribute to Process Improvement
  • Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives within the finance function
  • Support improvements that strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy
  • Assist with system updates and special finance projects
Provide Cross-Functional Accounting Support
  • Support Accounts Receivable by assisting with discrepancy resolution, customer account research, and aging analysis
  • Assist Accounts Payable with vendor reconciliations, invoice reviews, and payment processing support
  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy, coding, and policy compliance
  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data within the ERP system

The Staff Accountant may also participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as the business continues to grow.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply, or candidates with 1–2 years of accounting experience in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or financial reporting
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, debits and credits, and financial reporting processes
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Because this role supports work related to defense programs, candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience with Epicor ERP systems
  • Exposure to manufacturing or industrial accounting environments
