AR Collections Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented AR Collections Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the accounts receivable, credit and collections for the organization.

Responsibilities:

+ Contact clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure prompt payment

+ Maintain and update accurate records of all collections activities in ERP/accounting systems

+ Work closely with project managers and accounting staff to resolve billing discrepancies

+ Research and reconcile account balances as needed

+ Respond in a professional and timely manner to client inquiries regarding payment status

+ Generate aging reports; assist in month-end close as needed

+ Contribute to continuous process improvement within the AR and collections functions

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in AR/Collections

- Strong skills in managing accounts receivable functions, including collection and statement preparation.

- Ability to accurately code expenses and handle complex financial transactions.

- Experience in monitoring budgets and coordinating adjustments or change orders.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with project managers and clients.

- Capability to produce operational and financial reports using relevant systems.
