The Technical Accounting Manager serves as a key expert on complex and emerging accounting matters. This role ensures accurate GAAP financial reporting, evaluates new or unusual transactions, contributes to quarterly and annual filings, and leads implementation efforts for new accounting standards.

This is a highly visible individual-contributor position with substantial cross-functional influence and exposure to senior leaders.

• Analyze complex or unusual transactions to determine the correct GAAP accounting treatment, including matters unique to regulated industries.
• Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting (10-Q and 10-K) through technical research, documentation, and accounting memos.
• Research emerging accounting standards and help lead implementation projects.
• Serve as a technical accounting resource for Finance, External Reporting, Treasury, and operational partners.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams addressing new standards and process improvements.
• Provide guidance and informal mentorship to cross-functional team members.
• Clearly articulate technical conclusions, financial impacts, and required actions to both accounting and non-accounting audiences.
• Develop documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• 8+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Public accounting (Big Four or large regional) is highly valued
• Strong GAAP knowledge; SEC reporting exposure is beneficial.
• Proven ability to analyze new or complex transactions.

• Base Salary: $125,000–$145,000
• Bonus: 15% target
• 401(k): 4% company match
