Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Sr. Accountant to perform and oversee general accounting functions. This role includes managing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. The successful candidate will manage and maintain billing processes within Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. You will support month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation of financial statements and reports, while assisting with audits and ensuring adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to system enhancements.
Responsibilities
+ Perform and oversee general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
+ Manage and maintain billing processes within Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
+ Support month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
+ Assist with audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to system enhancements.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end processes.
+
Experience with Workday billing and financial reporting.
+ Strong understanding of GAAP, reporting, and financial statements.
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
+ 3+ years of accounting experience.
+ Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ CPA certification is a plus.
+ Public accounting experience is advantageous.
+ Experience in software as a service accounting is beneficial.
+ Audit experience is a plus.
+
Experience with international accounting would be an added advantage.
Work Environment
This position offers hybrid flexibility, with in-office work required two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday). You'll be working with a supportive manager who is committed to the success of the team. The team consists of seven members, some local and some out of state. The company is growing rapidly, acquiring multiple businesses annually. For candidates outside of the state, fully remote options are available, open to most states.
The office provides parking facilities nearby, and more details on parking arrangements will be followed up on. The manager is based in Minnesota.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $52.88/hr.
