Summary: Working under the direction of the Senior Accounting Analyst and/or the Director of Finance. The Senior Accounting Analyst performs complex reconciliations, prepares journal entries, and supports month-end close activities. This role contributes to accurate financial reporting, assists with audits, and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with monthly close and reporting
- Maintain account reconciliations
- Investigate discrepancies and provide explanations
- Prepare schedules for internal/external audits
- Support financial statement preparation
- Follow GAAP and internal policies
- Assist with internal control improvements
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Procurement
- Provide guidance on coding and receipts
- Sugggest improvements to workflows and templates
Education/
Experience:
- Bachelor s in Accounting or Finance required
- 4+ years of accounting experience required
- Advanced Excel skills required
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of GAAP
- ERP experience required
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a positive team-oriented environment
