** Job Description
** We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant Level 3 to join our Corporate Accounting function. This role is a key member of the Accounting Close and Consolidation team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for a large, publicly traded financial institution.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Support consolidation activities across multiple legal entities and business lines.
* Assist with internal and external reporting requirements, including SEC filings and regulatory submissions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
* Develop and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and consistency across the organization.
* Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in accounting processes, leveraging tools such as Workday and emerging technologies.
** Basic Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent work experience
* Four or more years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate areas or public accounting
** Preferred Skills/Experience
*** Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
* Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems.
* Familiarity with AI tools or automation technologies in accounting (preferred).
