LocationMinneapolis, MN (This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in MN weekly – only local residents of Minnesota and Western Wisconsin will be eligible for consideration)

Job OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to support SEC reporting, technical accounting, and key corporate projects. This role will lead critical reporting deliverables, handle complex accounting areas, support SOX compliance, and provide guidance to the accounting team while partnering closely with leadership across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead preparation and review of SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and the annual proxy.
- Drive technical accounting work in areas such as lease accounting, revenue recognition, and other complex topics.
- Perform and review SOX controls; recommend and implement process improvements.
- Support consolidation and close activities, ensuring alignment with corporate accounting policies and disclosure requirements.
- Assist with sales tax compliance and coordination across subsidiaries.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and advise leadership on implications of upcoming transactions.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of accounting policies.
- Support M&A work including diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, and goodwill impairment.
- Help integrate newly acquired entities into the corporate reporting structure.
- Provide consultative oversight to the accounting team through review, guidance, and support.
Skills & Qualifications
- CPA required; strong technical accounting foundation.
- 5–7 years of experience, including recent public accounting experience.
- Direct experience with SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
- Strong understanding of SOX and internal controls.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical memo preparation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with senior leadership.
- Experience with process improvement and M&A accounting is a plus.
