Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

to join our Team!

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process!

Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.40 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Responds to incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and fosters a positive customer experience.
• Completes required training and other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods; some tasks may include climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on exterior of building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience preferred.
• Able to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Further details are provided during the interview process.
