We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional TBD per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day‑to‑day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. As a customer‑centric leader, you analyze store financial statements to meet financial goals, execute the company’s asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions.

All employees work with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers and rapidly addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in training pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures are followed for asset protection.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Meet or exceed First Cash operating standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain certification.
  • May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve items from external storage.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Can work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • The role will involve 40+ hours per week; hours are based on business needs.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Multi‑tasking ability in a fast‑paced environment.
