Overview
Jack in the Box - Restaurant Manager role at Giants Baseball & Softball Camps.
Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Internal Service:
Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent; ensures systems for training employees on workstations are implemented; identifies internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions. Ensures execution of the Service Profit Chain and "My Promise to You"; creates an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment; motivates and recognizes employees; complies with labor laws and regulations. - External Service:
Manages daily operations to deliver excellent guest service and food quality in adherence with JIB systems, procedures, and food safety requirements. Maintains visibility with guests and resolves concerns professionally. - Sales & Profits:
Analyzes operational and financial performance using management information tools; identifies trends and implements action plans; focuses on increasing sales and profitability while protecting the JIB brand and adhering to budget and goals.

Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and respect; communicates clearly; manages under pressure; resolves conflicts effectively. - Training / Coaching / Development:
Motivates and develops employees; provides timely feedback and recognition; supports promotion of employees. - Guest Focus:
Delivers high-quality guest experience; understands guest perspectives and maintains fast-paced service standards. - Food Quality / Safety:
Prioritizes food safety and restaurant cleanliness; ensures standards are followed. - Business Management:
Adapts to change; makes informed decisions; delegates effectively; follows through on priorities and details. - Performs other related duties as required.
Education - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience - Internal Promote:
Minimum of 1+ years as an Associate Manager and/or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager; 100% certification in all workstations. External Recruit:
Minimum of 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities - Must be at least 18; must complete Restaurant Manager training;
Serv Safe certified. Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing); strong interpersonal skills; basic math; analytical skills; organization and planning abilities. Self-starter with responsibility; PC proficiency; valid driver’s license and ability to travel for deposits or locations. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand/walk 85–95% of shift; lift/carry 10–65 lbs; move throughout the restaurant; operate equipment and drive a vehicle; operate a computer keyboard.
