Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Requires wearing personal protective gear, such as eyewear and steel-toed boots.

Must be a certified equipment operator.

Performs proper daily equipment safety checks prior to equipment operations and notifies maintenance supervisor of any suspected problems.

Follow proper procedure for equipment refueling operations.

Obey company rules regarding safe and effective equipment operations.

Remove store or dispose of excess material and waste.

Load and unload trucks

Knows the layout of facilities and work areas.

Transports material to designated areas throughout facilities.

Load and unload sensitive electrical equipment.

Transport oversized construction material.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs other duties supervisor requests.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background in related fields, such as exteriors, mechanical, conduit, electrical, or carpentry, is preferred.

SKILLS:

• Basic math skills
• Ability to read a blueprint.
• Able to operate forklift.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Good judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, comprehend and assimilate information.
• Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT:

• Battery drill
• Hammer drill
• Tape measure
• Generator
• Forklift

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required to wear personal protective equipment, such as protective eyewear and steel-toed boots. Able to operate forklift and other equipment.

Required to work for long periods of time in a standing position while inspecting and repairing buildings. Employee is required to stoop or crouch occasionally. Employee is required to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials on the job. Job requires clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses for inspection and repair.

Color determination is required when identifying paint colors and wires. Employee is exposed to seasonal temperatures.
