Your role as a RNAs a new RN at Minden Medical Center, you will deliver expert nursing care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes. Your daily responsibilities will encompass assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and developing tailored care plans, all aimed at ensuring the highest standards of safety and well-being. Educating patients and their families will be a vital part of your role, empowering them with knowledge and support.
Embrace the night shift from 7 pm to 7 am, operating on a unique schedule of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off, allowing you to achieve a commendable work-life balance. What matters mostTo thrive as a Full-Time RN at Minden Medical Center, successful candidates will need current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, alongside a commitment to continuous professional development. While one year of experience in Nursery, NICU, or Labor & Delivery is preferred, a strong foundation in patient care is essential. Proficiency in Fetal Heart Monitoring certification is a plus, and all staff are required to have CPR certification, with NRP certification to be obtained within eight weeks of hire.
Adaptability and teamwork skills are crucial, as RN staff will receive training to float between the labor unit, post-partum/GYN floor, and the nursery. This multifaceted role requires a proactive problem solver who embodies empathy and integrity while delivering exceptional healthcare services to our community.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing; one year Nursery/NICU/ L&D experience preferred.
- Required Certification/Registration Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
- CPR required
- NRP within 8 weeks.
- All RN Staff will be trained to float between the labor unit
- post-partum/GYN floor
- and the nursery.
