Overview
Job Overview The shipping lead will oversee the shipping team's floor operations.
DescriptionDescription The Warehouse Team Lead will assist in training new team members and in developing the current team. In addition, the Team Lead will provide backup for any team member who is out.
What does your day look likeSome of your duties may include:
- Pull and scan correct items and quantities to fill bulk route orders - Processing each order completely and accurately
- Adhere to specified date requirements for each item and route
- Adhere to company procedures for proper date rotation practices and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean working area and ensure that working areas are maintained for next shift
- Packing the orders in a safe, effective, and efficient manner; verifying order accuracy by order number and product quantity
- Responsible for loading packages onto trucks as needed
- All operations are performed safely, correctly, and efficiently in accordance with outbound shipping SOPs
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Carry up to 50 lbs. Push/Pull up to 30 lbs. of force.
- Must be able to be exposed to a refrigerated and freezer environment, ranging from 0 - 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ascend and descend a step with a height of 10 in. From the floor.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to reach bend.
- High School Diploma or higher education
- 2 years of experience.
- Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions and meet deadlines and be able to work under minimal supervision.
- Must have a complete understanding of all aspects of shipping operation.
