We have an opening for a Residential Associate working as part of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness. Responsibilities include supporting development of life skills, therapeutic interventions, housekeeping, meal preparation, medication administration, and maintaining clinical documentation. Experience as a Direct Support Professional, Qualified Mental Health Associate, Residential Assistant, Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or caregiving for behavioral health clients is preferred.
VocationalTraining Program
For applicants starting as a QMHA-R, Columbia Care offers a Vocational Training Program to accelerate training, experiential learning, and testing preparation for certification as a QMHA-I, achievable in as little as 6 months. Participation is optional.
Work ScheduleWednesday through Friday, 11:00am - 9:30pm and Saturday 7:00am - 5:30pm (Full Time, Swing & Day shifts)
Compensation$20.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE/Credentials. Additional 5% language differential for bilingual/multilingual candidates (Spanish/English preferred).
About the ProgramJohnson Creek is a secure 8-bed program for adults with mental illness, including those under PSRB jurisdiction. It features communal living spaces and outdoor areas. Residents are screened for admission by referring agencies and staff. Columbia Care is a qualifying employer for the PSLF Program and offers loan repayment options for QMHA employees.
Requirements- Eligibility for QMHA registration, requiring one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field, or
- Minimum three years of verifiable behavioral health experience, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Assistance in registering as a QMHA if not already registered.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to pass background check.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds and performing crisis de-escalation and CPR training.
