Overview
In addition to golf, WCC offers tennis, pickle ball, swimming pool, fitness center, and elegant yet relaxing dining for our members. We currently have nearly 300 members and will look for the Head Professional to bring a unique set of eyes to enhance the golf experience for our members and guests.
The WCC has a strong Women's and Men's golf program, but we are looking for a new outlook on how we can enhance our player development program, merchandise concession, and tournament series.
The Head Golf Professional will be responsible for overseeing and managing all golf operations at WCC, working closely with the General Manager to help create a culture of family, professionalism, and a true golf spirit that the staff and members are proud of. The Head Golf Professional is expected to provide and create a exceptional level of service, innovative programs, and maintain high member satisfaction.
ExperienceRequired
- PGA Member in Good Standing
- 2 years’ experience as a lead assistant
- Head Golf Professional experience is a plus
- Outstanding leadership, management, and delegation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure, coordinating multiple tasks at a given time.
- Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits.
- Proficient in operating Golf Genius event management platform; club-based POS/accounting/member billing systems (Northstar); as well as other applications, i.e. email, internet, database, office, etc.
- Oversee and manage golf operations and services, working with the General Manager
- Develop and implement innovative programs, events, and activities to retain membership levels.
- Serve as a skilled instructor and respectable playing ability, balancing instructional needs with operational needs.
- Develop and manage tournament schedules and golf activities for all members and guests, including Jr. Golf.
- Drive high member satisfaction through exceptional golf experience.
- Communicate effectively with the Golf Course Superintendent on course conditions and restrictions.
- Lead, mentor, and/or coach golf management staff.
- Execute modern management "best practices" of a high-performing club.
- Enforce WCC's policies in a firm but non-prejudicial manner.
- Report directly to the General Manager.
- Perform all other golf-related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
