COLLEGIATE RECOVERY COORDINATOR ROLE

The Collegiate Recovery Coordinator supports students in recovery from substance misuse or seeking sobriety through direct student engagement, programming, and community-building. This role leads peer support, coordinates recovery meetings and events, manages the Recovery Coffee Bike, supports recovery housing efforts, and builds campus partnerships to foster belonging and wellness. Student‑centered and mission‑driven, this position advances cura personalis and contributes to a vibrant, inclusive campus recovery community.

DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate student recovery meetings, peer support, and wellness programming.
  • Lead outreach, recovery ally initiatives, and campus collaborations.
  • Supervise student employees, including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and ending assignments.
  • Assist with purchasing, logistics, and resource management within the Recovery Center.
  • Manage the Recovery Coffee Bike operations, including student scheduling, training, and promotion.
  • Maintain relationships with campus and community recovery partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required:

    Bachelor’s in Higher Education Administration, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience.
  • Understanding of multiple recovery pathways.
  • Ability to effectively manage time.
  • Experience setting clear boundaries with student population.
  • Understanding of basic budgeting concepts.
  • Experience planning events.
  • Preferred:
    Master’s in Higher Education Administration, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Lived experience in recovery.
  • Familiarity with collegiate recovery field.
  • Understanding of higher education landscape.
  • Media and communications experience.
