Our Team as a Service Technician at Epiroc!

At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. Service Technicians provide thorough service support for preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting & repairs and monitoring/testing that result in minimizing downtime, reducing costs and promoting our service and product capabilities.

Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, high or precarious places, noxious chemicals and electrical shock. Company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities Level 1
  • Complete Pre‑delivery Inspections (PDI) on machines
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, use analytical skills to troubleshoot and repair all Epiroc products in accordance with manufacturer recommendations
  • Ensure the appropriate tools and equipment are on‑site and properly maintained
  • Communicate service and other relevant activities to the Service Coordinator in a complete and timely manner
  • Adhere to Company safety and environmental requirements, using proper safety procedures and PPE
  • Maintain courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times
Level 2
  • Run diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes and initiate repairs
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, especially for hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting
  • Execute diagnostics on malfunctioning components and perform repairs as required
  • Support varied activities with simultaneous projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Level 3
  • Test and document proper operating parameters
  • Complete detailed failure analyses on all rebuilt components, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions and initiate warranty processes
  • Serve as subject matter expert for other service technicians, supporting their training and development
Education & Experience Level 1
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with Epiroc equipment, strong mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial/commercial fluid power and low‑voltage electrical control systems
  • Own hand tools; ability to expand inventory by purchasing additional tools as required
  • Complete required training within the specified time frames (TL1, PDI procedure, machine specifications, reading schematics within 3 months; Safe Start Modules 1‑5 within the first year)
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Travel may be required for training or assistance in other Service Centers or Competency Centers
Level 2
  • Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or an equivalent of 2‑5 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, powertrain function and related components
Level 3
  • Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or an equivalent of 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhauls and repairs of a wide variety of hydraulic and powertrain components

Level will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
