Landscape Construction Foreman
Location: Greater Milwaukee Area
J.R. Boehlke, Inc. is a landscape, asphalt, and snow contractor founded in 1996. The company works closely with commercial and residential property owners and managers throughout Southeast Wisconsin. J.R. Boehlke entered a new chapter of growth under new ownership in 2023 and now seeks to build upon the strengths of the founding team to further expand the business.
We are seeking a Landscape Construction Foreman to lead daily activities of a new landscape construction crew. The right individual for the role will bring strong knowledge of all aspects of landscaping and hardscaping projects, have a demonstrated history of leading and managing landscaping crews, be detail- and quality-oriented, and enjoy working in a growing company.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of 2-4 team members.
- Plan and execute a variety of landscape projects for residential and commercial clients. Example projects include paver patios and driveways, retaining walls, seat walls, drainage system installation, landscape bed installation, finish grading, sod installation, restoration, planting, and similar projects.
- Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including trucks, skid steers, excavators, saws, hand tools, and more.
- Train crew members.
- Maintain accurate records of time and materials used on job sites.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Project Manager to schedule, plan, and execute projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading landscape projects as foreman.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor crew members.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment, including skid steers, excavators, compactors, saws, and hand tools.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
