The Marine Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of marine vessels through expert maintenance and repair of mechanical and electronic systems. This position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to engines, fuel systems, transmission lines, and hydraulic components to maintain vessel operability. The Marine Technician will work closely with engineering teams and vessel operators to implement corrosion control measures and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with vocational training in marine technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engine maintenance, particularly with diesel engines and fuel systems.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission lines, hydraulic systems, and electronic controls relevant to marine vessels.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in marine repair and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with corrosion control methods and marine safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification from a recognized marine technician program or association.
  • Experience working on a variety of vessel types including commercial and recreational boats.
  • Advanced training in electronic control systems and pump maintenance.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance standards specific to the maritime industry.

Responsibilities
