Field Service Technician Needed

Full Time-$80-100K First Year

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting advanced CNC Lathes and Machining Centers, providing customer training on operations, and performing both warranty and post‑warranty service. You will work independently from your home base, supporting customers throughout your assigned region, which will involve regular overnight travel.

• Troubleshoot CNC machines and accessories
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Conduct post‑installation testing to ensure optimal performance.
• Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Stay current with new product features and technologies.
• Accurately document all service work, including diagnostics, parts used, and resolutions.
• Travel frequently, including overnight stays, to various customer locations.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as gauges, test indicators, and force meters.

• A two‑year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology) or equivalent military experience.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment.
• Understanding of PLC controls (preferred).
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic circuits and general computer literacy.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and reporting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
