Installer (Construction)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving to customer locations, loading, and installing granite/quartz countertops into customer homes and/or businesses
- Install granite, quartz and solid surface countertops, sinks, and other related products at customer locations in accordance with industry procedures and standards
- Ability to safely handle power tools to hand polish, cut, grind, and shape countertops to make adjustments as needed to complete the assigned project
- Ensure service vehicle has the proper tools and supplies to do complete each job daily
- Communicate with clients via phone in a professional and courteous manner
- Present yourself in a professional manner, maintaining the image of KG Stevens
- Provide progress, status, and troubleshooting reports via phone, text and/or email to management
- Update web-based job tracking software with job related photography
- Drive company vehicle as needed, in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all local, state, and federal traffic laws, while completing scheduled customer visits as timely and efficiently as possible
- Engage in safe work practices in addition to the required use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- May occasionally work on special projects or perform other duties as assigned
- Have a High School diploma/GED with some trade related education and/or equivalent work experience
- Reliable, safety conscious and able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Basic carpentry/building skills required. Be able to measure accurately, use a level and a caulk gun
- Have an extraordinarily strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team in a timely manner towards the completion of each assigned job
- Enjoy problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Possess exceptional customer service skills have an ability to calmly respond to complaints
- Be able to educate/train others
- Be a team player who builds great working relationships
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid and current driver’s license with a reasonable driving history in the past 5 years
Physical Requirements
The employee may occasionally be exposed to airborne particles and moderate to high noise levels while working with power tools in the field. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection and hard hats are provided for employees. Heavy lifting (100+ lbs.), kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, standing for extended periods of time, and other physical demands are required.
