The Sales & Event Manager is a dynamic and client-facing role responsible for driving revenue, managing client relationships, and executing exceptional events that reflect the quality, creativity, and service standards of 41
Fork Hospitality and its family of brands, specifically offsite locations.
This individual will balance proactive sales outreach with event planning and coordination responsibilities. They will work closely with culinary, operations, and leadership teams to ensure every event is seamless, on-brand, and profitable.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys both the art of selling and the craft of event execution.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients from inquiry to event completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while consistently seeking opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, cold outreach, and participation in local hospitality and industry events.
- Qualify leads, conduct site visits, and develop customized proposals and presentations that align with brand standards and client objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of client communication, proposals, and bookings in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with the Senior Sales Manager to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Create detailed event proposals, budgets, timelines, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for each event.
- Conduct client meetings, tastings, and walk-throughs, ensuring clear expectations and alignment with brand standards.
- Partner with culinary and operations teams to finalize logistics, staffing, and service flow for each event.
- Ensure timely communication and documentation of changes to internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Lead on-site coordination and client hosting when required, maintaining professionalism and poise under pressure.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including vendor communication, rental orders, staffing requests, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee day-of event setup and service, ensuring flawless execution and client satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Conduct thorough post-event follow-ups, including feedback collection, reconciliation, and thank-you correspondence.
- Support senior leadership with forecasting, budgeting, and reporting as needed.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to continuously improve event processes, templates, and client experience touchpoints.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to identify content opportunities and provide input for social media, newsletters, and public relations efforts.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs to help shape sales strategy.
- 3+ years of experience in event sales, catering, or hospitality management (preferably in off-premise or venue-based catering).
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and delivering exceptional event experiences.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; able to connect with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in crafting proposals and professional correspondence.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM/event management platforms.
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend site visits and off-site events.
