Overview

As a Manager of Sales, your role will be to develop partnerships and alliances with existing and new customer and distributor accounts within Briggs & Stratton’s Turf & Consumer business unit. You will manage internal or external teams and develop strategic plans to achieve financial goals as well as manage overall account relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Managing accounts to meet strategic goals by making sales calls.

  • Negotiating policies and implements them internally, ensuring effective communication.

  • Recommending product features and benefits to increase sales both internally to Product Management and externally to customers.

  • Recommending sales promotions to the marketing department; developing and implementing product merchandising.

  • Analyzing sales and market trends to formulate policy, promote sales, determine customer needs, volume potential and price schedules.

  • Reporting sales activity to upper management.

  • Performing full range of managerial responsibilities for sales representatives which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget;
    May oversee external vendor relationships in lieu of direct reports.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

  • Minimum of seven years of experience as a Sales Leader
