Job Summary

Position Title: Crew Member
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Supervisor
Position Overview: As a Crew Member at Wendy’s, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, fast, and enjoyable experience for guests. Whether you are working in the kitchen, preparing food, or interacting with customers in the dining area, your dedication to providing high‑quality service and food will help uphold Wendy’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Greet customers warmly and with enthusiasm.
    • Assist customers with menu options, take accurate orders, and ensure all orders are processed correctly.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with a positive attitude.
    • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, ensuring the restaurant is always presentable for guests.
  • Food Preparation and Quality
    • Prepare food according to Wendy’s standards, ensuring accuracy and quality.
    • Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures at all times.
    • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Ensure food portions and presentation meet company standards.
  • Cash Handling and Register Operation
    • Accurately handle cash transactions and process credit/debit payments.
    • Provide change and receipts to customers in a timely manner.
    • Keep the cash register area clean and organized.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
    • Contribute to maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Assist with inventory management and stocking as needed.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and restroom areas.
    • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation protocols.
  • Additional Duties
    • Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
    • Take part in training programs to develop skills and improve performance.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisor.
  • Qualifications
    • Must be at least 16 years of age (or comply with state‑specific labor laws).
    • Prior food service or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
    • Must be dependable and punctual.
    Job Requirements
    • Ability to stand for extended periods (4–8+ hours) with periodic breaks.
    • Perform repetitive motions, including frequent use of hands and arms for tasks such as chopping, stirring, carrying, and operating equipment.
    • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, twisting, and reaching above eye level.
    • Capability to walk up and down stairs and use a step ladder as needed.
    • Occasional sitting, talking, and active listening as required by the role.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly as part of job duties, including but not limited to food supplies, dishware, and equipment. When handling heavier loads, employees MUST use appropriate lifting equipment and/or seek assistance from a second person.
