Position: Cocktail Server (Part-Time)

As a Cocktail Server, you will be working in a dynamic environment, connecting with guests and building relationships. Among the social aspect of a Cocktail Server, you will provide the one‑of‑a‑kind food and beverage to our guests in a friendly, timely manner. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience.

Functions
  • Check and maintain proper set‑up and cleanliness of service station before, during, and after shift.
  • Greet guests in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions, and snacks.
  • Take orders, recite selection of all call and premium brands as requested – this will require memorization of all available drinks, beer, and taps.
  • Provide appropriate snack and garnish with all beverages.
  • Input orders into point of sale system in a timely fashion to inform bartender an order was made.
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest tables and assist with the bar area.
  • Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking back with guest to inquire about satisfaction.
  • Present the guest with the check promptly, thank them and invite them to return.
  • Perform all assigned side work and complete daily checklist.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, use standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
  • Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested e.g., special guest requests.
  • Position Requirements
    • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
    • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
    • Ability to read, sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, speak and write the English language to communicate with the guest, and take orders.
    • Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
    • Ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
    • Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
    • Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift.
    • Work as a team player.
    • Ability to remain motivated during busy and slow periods within shift.
    • Cash handling and self‑banking position, requires ability to maintain funds, and accurately count back charge.
    • Ability to operate a keyboard and learn point of sale procedures to pre‑check an order and close out a check.
    • No prior experience required.
    • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. TIPS and Bartender certification preferred.
