Quality Control / Manager, Quality Technician/ Inspector
I’m partnering confidentially with a well‑established manufacturing company in the Milwaukee metro area to identify a Quality Manager
. This role reports directly to the Company President and is responsible for leading the Quality function across inspection, documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands‑on quality leader who is comfortable owning the Quality Management System, leading audits, and working cross‑functionally in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality department, including all internal and external inspection activities and associated documentation. This role maintains the Quality Management System, oversees ISO 9001 certification, facilitates third‑party audits, ensures ITAR compliance, and manages the submission of certification documentation to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Supervision
- Prioritize, schedule, delegate, and directly supervise quality assurance staff
- Ensure compliance with ISO and ITAR quality specifications and standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, specifications, and inspection standards
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Maintain the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 certification
- Facilitate and support all third‑party, customer, and regulatory audits
- Ensure ITAR compliance and related documentation requirements
- Audit quality systems and initiate corrective actions as needed
Process Control & Continuous Improvement
- Develop inspection, sampling techniques, and quality assurance plans
- Establish process control procedures to ensure finished products meet quality requirements
- Analyze quality data and reports to identify trends and address problem areas
- Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve quality and productivity
Training & Communication
- Develop and deliver training on quality systems, procedures, and best practices
- Provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, and internal departments
- Review customer complaints and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Support customers with quality‑related questions or concerns
Management & Administration
- Develop and manage the Quality department budget
- Ensure efficient use of resources while meeting quality objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and quality policies
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of related experience
, OR - 10–12 years of progressively responsible related experience, or a combination of education and experience

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
- Critical thinking and root‑cause problem‑solving capability
- Manufacturing environment with standard industrial conditions
