This is a full-time on-site role located in Milwaukee, WI, for a Landscape Construction Foreman. Responsibilities include supervising daily project operations, training team members, allocating resources effectively, and maintaining a safe work environment. Additionally, the Foreman ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of environmental integrity and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities- Direct, supervise, and work with field crew to complete residential and commercial hardscape and softscape projects including natural stone, permeable pavers, retaining walls, planting, seeding, and bluff stabilization and erosion control projects.
- Operate skid steers, excavators, tractors, chainsaws, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Manage time, productivity, project budgets, and material record keeping.
- Maintain and repair mechanical and power equipment.
- Load trucks and expedite crew on daily basis.
- Maintain high standard of quality and safety amongst crews and equipment, enforce OSHA & safety policies.
- Proficiency with landscape construction skills: including stone and woodwork, stormwater systems installation, planting, and erosion control.
- Leadership abilities to supervise teams, manage workflows, and train and mentor staff effectively on-site.
- Knowledge of ecological principles: familiarity with ecological restoration, native plants, sustainable materials, and biotechnical stabilization.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills: including resource allocation, scheduling, and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and subcontractors proactively.
- Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
- A valid driver's license (required); additional certifications like CDL or equipment operation are a plus.
