Staff RN Ambulatory Clinic – Preoperative Clinic Job Summary
The Staff RN – Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care. The role systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN – Ambulatory Clinics utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health, establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings, and considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscal accountability.
The Staff RN – Ambulatory Clinics delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice and participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives, assuming responsibility for professional development. Major accountabilities include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures and may float to other areas as needed.
Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment. At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
Education DescriptionCurrent state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Licensure DescriptionRequires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
