Job Description

Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is looking for a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The position reports to the Plasma Center Manager and, for medical issues, to the Center Physician. The role demands a commitment to customer service and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies, following Center Physician standing orders and coordinating transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is needed with occupational health/ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and investigate pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.
• Current license or certification in the state of assignment:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location: USA – WI – Milwaukee

Hourly wage range: $33.60 – $46.20. The actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, and skills. Wage offers comply with state or local minimum wage.
