Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient – Shift 3
Location: Milwaukee, WI – Froedtert Hospital – On‑site. Employment Type: Full‑time (0.9 FTE, 36 hours/week). Shift: 19:00 – 07:30, rotating holidays and every third weekend.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of adult patients in an inpatient environment. The RN demonstrates competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population and applies the ANA Nursing:
Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
- Clinical competence and experience in caring for target patient populations specific to the area of employment.
- One year of RN experience.
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice typically obtained through completion of an accredited School of Nursing program required for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Non‑BSN nurses with less than one year of licensed RN experience must enroll in a BSN (or higher) program within 15 months of hire and complete the degree within 5 years (6 years for MSN, DNP, or PhD). BSN preferred.
- Current Wisconsin RN license or a multi‑state nursing license (NLC).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days of hire.
- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within one year of hire.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C‑EFM) certification within 2 years of hire (optional for part‑time or temporary staff).
Shift 3 – 19:00 to 07:30. Rotating holidays and every third weekend.
