Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Unit. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with spinal cord injuries. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with SCI, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    :
    Provide direct nursing care to patients with spinal cord injuries, including assessing their condition, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing prescribed treatments.
  • Collaboration
    :
    Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, focusing on optimizing their recovery and maximizing their independence.
  • Education
    :
    Educate patients and their families about spinal cord injuries, rehabilitation strategies, and preventative measures to promote optimal health and minimize complications.
  • Advocacy
    :
    Serve as an advocate for patients with spinal cord injuries, ensuring their needs and preferences are communicated effectively to the healthcare team and addressed promptly.
  • Documentation
    :
    Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Safety and Quality Improvement
    :
    Adhere to safety protocols and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and minimize risks within the SCI unit.
  • Emotional Support
    :
