Signature Dance Company is a nonprofit organization that serves women and girls through the four pillars of God, ministry, sisterhood, and dance. Our mission is sharing, without compromise, all of our God-given gifts and talents while helping others realize their own. Signature was created in 2004 from a passion to see God change lives through dance. The Company has grown from just seven women to about forty women and girls who perform together, rehearse together, retreat together and build relationships with one another.

- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred),with three years of experience in performing arts management (preferred), business management, or nonprofit management.

- Experience with nonprofit and/or youth-focused programming
- Experience in Board participation or development
- Demonstrated experience in managing people and budgets
- Experience in charitable fund development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; interpersonal and relationship building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities
- Ability to lead multiple long and short term project simultaneously; meet deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure, within a hands-on environment with limited resources
- Thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of Signature Dance Company, responsible for overall organizational leadership, strategic direction, financial sustainability, and operational excellence. Working in close partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director ensures the long-term health, mission alignment, and impact of the organization.
About What You Would Do- Board Governance:
Works with the board in order to fulfill the organization mission. - Responsible for leading Signature Dance Company in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
- Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.
- Partnering with the Board Chair to set agenda and committee meetings.
- Financial Performance and Viability:
Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization. - Responsible for the fiscal integrity of Signature Dance Company, to include submission to the Board of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.
- Lead and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy including grants, individual donors, corporate sponsor ships, events, & institutional partnerships.
- Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.
- Partner with the Board to strengthen donor engagement, board giving, & external advocacy.
- Ensure grant compliance and reporting is done in a timely manner.
- Organization Mission and Strategy:
Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach. - Creating an organizational culture that authentically connects the staff and company to the mission and values of the organization.
