Senior Communications Practitioner

Mueller Communications, a well-established and highly regarded communications and marketing firm, is looking to meet experienced senior-level communications professionals with strong experience in Public Affairs or community engagement to add to its talented team. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop and lead strategy, manage teams through execution, participate in new business development efforts, and counsel clients through communications challenges from crises to awareness-building campaigns.

Mueller Communications’ clients have high expectations, and we are looking for another A-player to join us in exceeding those expectations. We take a collaborative problem-solving approach and this position is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of and leading close-knit teams and is looking to grow themselves and others through mentorship and challenging client work.

• Lead & oversee client team activities (projections, monthly planning, regular internal client reviews), ensuring appropriate staff are assigned to your projects

• Demonstrate the ability to present recommended solutions to client challenges, as well as forward-thinking, proactive growth opportunities
• Demonstrate “value add” to client relationships

Demonstrate working knowledge of the legislative process and players

Establish relationships with community civic leaders, organizations and community partners

Demonstrate ability to develop a public affairs plan/strategy and tactics

• 7+ years of PR or communications experience, particularly with Public Affairs or community engagement
• Positive, problem-solving attitude
• Prior agency experience is a plus
