Days/Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week during the academic year.

Job Description:

The Studio Arts and Craft Centre (SACC) comprises five main areas: photography, jewelry and metals, printmaking, ceramics, and fibers. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting all SACC events, workshops, and classes through social media, website updates, and printed materials.

Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working with people
  • Willing to learn about all studio areas
  • Available to work during SACC Special Events
  • Dedicated to the SACC mission
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with social media platforms, including video marketing

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open communication with program and operations managers
  • Collaborate with Union Marketing to develop print materials such as calendars, window clings, digital screens, and posters
  • Manage social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and bi-weekly newsletters
  • Monitor engagement metrics like views and likes
  • Research and implement new marketing strategies
  • Stay informed about SACC programs and events
  • Prepare marketing materials for events
  • Update the UWM website regularly
  • Coordinate with staff on studio signage
  • Seek new outreach opportunities on and off campus
  • Assist studio members with space and equipment use
  • Maintain cleanliness of studio space and equipment
  • Adhere to University of Wisconsin System employment policies

All staff are required to attend regular SACC staff meetings, scheduled at the beginning of each semester to accommodate student class schedules.

This position is open to UW-Milwaukee students with a minimum GPA of 2.25.
