Production Line Lead; 1st or 2nd Shift

Cut Fresh is a premier supplier of fresh cut produce in Wisconsin, looking to fill a full‑time position for Line Lead

The Line Lead will work throughout the production areas in their department working with and maintaining productivity on their shift. Ideally, this person will have experience in the Fruit and Produce processing Industry. The 1st shift position (7:00 am - 4:00 pm) Sunday through Friday (not every Sunday). Hours, start times, and end times may vary slightly based on production needs.

• Maintain high efficiency production outputs with the minimum necessary for headcount (of direct hire and temporary agency workers) and hours worked while also minimizing waste.
• Coaching and directing hourly production employees (crew) to meet production schedules.
• Observes the performance of other employees and provides training as needed.
• Helps guide production crew in accomplishing assigned work, while maintaining good manufacturing practices and HACCP program.
• Works with crew to resolve production related problems/issues.
• Monitor and train employees for adherence to company HACCP program.
• Participates in safety/environmental self-audits and visual checks and helps to develop and meet plant safety goals.
• Monitors raw material needs and supply for line(s) they are leading.
• Assists in compliance with company policies and enforces safety regulations.
• Assists in adherence to product specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
• Confer with other leads / supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Performs activities of employees supervised on an as‑needed basis.
• Follows other job‑related instructions and performs other job‑related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

• The employee is required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently.
• The employee is subject to the production environment approximately 95 percent of the work time (wet environment with temperatures).
• High noise levels from operating machines.
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.

• High school or equivalent required.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus.
• Experience in the Fruit and Produce processing Industry preferred.
• Must have strong and effective verbal and written communication.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software for department reporting and record keeping.
• Must have a strong reasoning ability with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.

Wage commensurate with experience.
