Perform a wider array of bench assemblies based on experience of usually more than one year in department, working with only general supervision. Able to independently identify quality issues and make assemblies at or above established production standards.

- Logs into all jobs you are assigned to.
- Reads the Job Traveler and follows requirements.
- Pulls components according to the Bill of Material.
- Reads mechanical and assembly prints. Verifies assembled parts match prints.
- Uses assembly fixtures, hand tools, clamps, hand weights, glues etc. to assemble components with independence.
- Assists in the training of Assembly Operator II’s.
- Counts parts accurately and uses the correct part labels.
- Packages parts and labels gaylords properly.
- Enters information into E2 accurately.
- Ensures all consumable production supplies are replenished to acceptable visual standard.
- Ensures area is clean and organized. Makes sure all 5S tools are in place and accounted for.
- Ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and turned in at the end of the shift.
- Follows all safety procedures to create a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Abides by 5S and Lean Manufacturing in the Assembly department.
- Demonstrates continual improvement in quality and quantity of work performed.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education / Experience- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Assembly skills required.
- Quality Control (QC) experience helpful.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as the Employee Handbook, safety rules, and Job Travelers.
- Able to communicate effectively with other employees, office personnel and management.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
