We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Youth Apprentice to join our Prototyping team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic engineering environment, supporting the development of prototypes and first‑of‑its‑kind components. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians and contribute to real‑world projects using a variety of tools and techniques.

• Operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, drill press, and bandsaws
• Safely use welders, table saws, and construction hand tools
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of prototype parts
• Apply problem‑solving skills to support and build challenges
• Collaborate effectively in a team‑oriented environment
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols
• Participate in continuous learning and skill development under mentorship
• Opportunity to expand skill set into more advanced tools
• After mastering core fundamentals, there is opportunity to operate CNC mills and lathes, gaining hands‑on experience with advanced machining technologies and digital manufacturing

• High school students with interest in engineering, manufacturing, or skilled trades
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail, a can‑do attitude, and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
• Able to communicate ideas and teamwork skills
